[MARS] Melbourne Art Rooms Gallery, situated on Bay Street in Port Melbourne, opened in February 2005 and has quickly earned a reputation as one of Melbourne's most exciting and diverse commercial art spaces.

Originally an old dairy, the MARS building was neglected and run down during its use as a warehouse and a mechanical workshop. Remarkably reincarnated blending aspects of the old and the new, MARS is a unique space that offers a backdrop of simplicity and generous proportions to showcase outstanding art.

[MARS] hosts exhibitions by their represented artists including local, national and international artists as well as carefully selected unrepresented and emerging artists. MARS proudly hosts guest curators and artists groups.

MARS is committed to nurturing a new style of commercial gallery practice that is not bound to traditional formats. The gallery space at MARS is state of the art. The Gallery Management team is highly committed and our quest is to present contemporary art with the highest integrity.
