Amanda Robins was recently selected as a finalist for the Tallinn Drawing Triennial in Estonia and was highly commended by the judge. In 2009, she was also selected as a finalist for the City of Hobart Art Prize.
From 2006 -2009 she was studio head of painting and drawing at the South Australian School of Art at UNISA.
In 2008 she won the House of Phillips Fine Art Drawing Prize. In 2006 Robins completed her PhD at the College of Fine Arts in Sydney where she was an Australian Postgraduate Award Scholar.
During her studies, she undertook a residency at the COFA Cite International des Arts Studio in Paris and was a finalist in several major drawing awards, including the Dobell Prize for Drawing (2005, 2003).
